Each fall, athletes, families, and supporters come together in T.R. Proctor Park in Utica, NY, for a premier event that showcases dedication, sportsmanship, and community pride. Proudly sponsored by the East Utica Optimist Club, the invitational continues to honor its legacy while inspiring the next generation of runners.

The meet began in 1941, founded by physical education teachers Edward J. Herrmann and Phil Hammes. Renamed in 1972, it continues more than 75 years later with support from the East Utica Optimist Club.
