E. J. Herrmann 3-Step Entry Process

Please Note that the deadline for completing the 3-Step Entry Process in order to enter the meet is 7:59 PM, Sunday, 22 September 2024. There are no provisions for any late entries.

Step 1 - Mail your Check, Voucher, Purchase Order

Send a check, money order, voucher, or purchase order for the appropriate entry fee postmarked by Monday, 23 September 2024 to:

Make checks payable to: East Utica Optimist Club

Entry Fees: $175.00 per school; $75.00 single gender; $95.00 varsity or varsity and jv only; $60.00 modified only. There is a fee of $10 per runner for those schools entering no more than 6 runners, who together do not comprise a 5 person team.

Step 2 - Complete and Submit the Online Commitment Form

Complete the Herrmann commitment form and submit it no later than 7:59 PM, Sunday, 22 September 2024. NB: One form per school. You will receive verification that the form was received via email.

Step 3 - Enter the Names of Your Runners

Leone Timing will time and score the 81st Herrmann on September 28, 2024. All coaches must enter their teams and the names of all runners online at Mile Split NY http://ny.milesplit.com. All varsity races are limited to a maximum of 10 runners per school. Junior varsity and modified races are not limited.

Email Pat Leone if you encounter a difficulty with entering your teams or the names of your runners. The deadline for entering your teams with Leone Timing is 7:59 PM, Sunday, 22 September 2024.

NB: Eligibility

Eligibility of the contestants is according to the regulations of the New York State Commissioner of Education and the N.Y.S.P.H.S.A.A..

Schools from outside of New York State must have permission to compete from their state or provincial athletic governing body. Additionally, these schools must have clearance from the New York State Public High School Athletic Association. Coaches from schools outside of New York State are asked to contact the Herrmann meet director, no later than Saturday, 7 September 2024.
